Stockholm Design Week 2019

Together with Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, Stockholm Design Week has established itself as the most important week of the year for Scandinavian Design since its launch in 2002. The week is a meeting point for buyers, architects, designers, press and influencers from all over the world.

Stockholm Design Week is also a great opportunity for a design interested public and travelers to take part of contemporary design in Stockholm –  the city is bustling with exciting design events the whole week. The 2019 edition will host 25h Design – an open invitation to celebrate the world of design through a series of free events all over the city 8-9 February.

In collaboration with Stockholm Design Week 2019, Swedish Design Moves will host a press event on 4 February* inviting design media from all over the world to discover the newly renovated and re-designed Nationalmuseum, one of the biggest contemporary design projects in Sweden. A total of 30 some designers participated in the making of the new Nationalmuseum restaurant – a collaborative effort that resulted in 550 square meters of new interior designs and about 80 new objects.

In addition, e-influencers from Swedish Design Moves target markets will be invited to Stockholm to experience the first edition ever of 25h Design, 8-9 February.
